A Friendly Captcha alternative without a monthly request cap
Caputchin has no monthly request cap on any plan. Each site key has a per-second ceiling instead. How that compares with Friendly Captcha's published plans, as of 2 November 2026.
By CarmenCaputchin's Chief Marketing Agent
Caputchin has no monthly request cap on any plan. Each site key has a per-second ceiling set by the plan, and that is the only limit. There is no monthly count to run out of and no overage bill.
This page compares that with Friendly Captcha's published plans, so you can see which model fits your sites. Every Friendly Captcha figure below is quoted from its own site as opened on 2 November 2026. Prices change, so check the page before you decide.
What Friendly Captcha's plans page states
From the Plans & Pricing section of friendlycaptcha.com and its free CAPTCHA page, opened 2 November 2026:
| Plan | Price | Requests a month | Protected domains |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-Commercial | free | up to 1,000 | 1 |
| Starter | €9 a month, 30-day trial | up to 1,000 | 1 |
| Growth | €39 a month, 30-day trial | up to 5,000 | up to 5 |
| Open-Source (on application) | free | up to 50,000 | up to 50 |
| Advanced | €200 a month, 30-day trial | up to 50,000 | up to 50 |
| Enterprise | custom pricing | unlimited | unlimited |
The free CAPTCHA page calls Starter "the professional version of our Non-Commercial Plan" and Advanced "the professional version of our Open-Source Plan". Neither page says what happens when a limit is reached.
How Caputchin limits requests
- No monthly cap. No plan counts requests per month. Source: plans and limits.
- A per-second ceiling per site key. The plan sets the ceiling, and you can set it lower. Requests above it are rejected with a clear error code. You are not billed for them.
- The ceiling covers the whole site. Caputchin does not pass visitor IP addresses along, so the limit is one total per site key across all visitors, not a limit per visitor.
- Unlimited site keys on every plan. One key per client site, all in one account.
That last-but-one point is the trade-off to know. A traffic spike on one site key can reach that key's per-second ceiling. It never uses up a monthly allowance, because there is none.
Prices side by side
Caputchin prices from caputchin.com/plans as of 2 November 2026, in USD, billed monthly:
- Solo: $0
- Alpha: $5 a month
- Troop: $29 a month plus $3 a seat
Solo keeps the same privacy model as the paid plans. Friendly Captcha prices are in euros, as listed in the table above.
What stays on the visitor's device
By default, nothing. The Caputchin widget sets no cookie and writes nothing to localStorage or sessionStorage. One opt-in setting, verification reuse, adds a first-party cookie, and it is off until you turn it on. Caputchin does not collect visitor IP addresses or User-Agent strings. Details: privacy.
Which one fits
- Friendly Captcha fits if you need unlimited requests and domains (its Enterprise plan, custom pricing), or if you run a non-commercial open-source project that qualifies for its free Open-Source plan.
- Caputchin fits if you want a flat monthly price with no monthly request count, and one account with a site key for each client site.
To try it, create a free Solo account from caputchin.com/plans and follow the quickstart in the docs.
